Before you rent
A rental is a continuing service agreement, not a purchase plan. The current listing and accepted agreement define the exact amount and dates.
The domain page shows the monthly amount and currency before checkout. The agreement snapshots that price for the rental.
The domain moves into Domaina custody. The paid period begins only after Domaina independently verifies custody.
Your account shows the paid-through date, the next amount and date, and any payment that needs attention.
Rental payments pay for use. They do not reduce a purchase balance or give the renter ownership rights.
From listing to active use
One agreement tracks the quoted rent, first payment, verified custody, monthly periods, and termination.
A live, priced domain shows Monthly rental only when the Seller has enabled it.
The current domain page is the source of the offered amount.
Read the monthly price, custody rule, termination terms, and no-ownership disclosure before authorizing the first payment.
The browser never supplies the rate or amount used by checkout.
Domaina verifies that the domain has reached its holding account before activating the rental or starting the paid period.
If custody cannot be secured, the first payment is flagged for refund and reconciliation.
Track each month in your account. Either party may request termination; billing stops after the recorded effective end.

Choose the right path
The two options may both involve monthly payments, but their legal and product outcomes are different.
Choose Monthly rental when you need temporary use and do not intend those payments to purchase the domain.
Choose Lease to own only when the listing offers a defined purchase plan and you want ownership after completing its required balance and handover.

Pay the displayed monthly amount while the agreement is active. Ending the rental does not transfer the domain to you.
Lease to own
Follow a fixed payment plan. Ownership transfer begins after the required balance clears and the handover is verified.
For buyers and sellers
Buyer and Seller accounts see the same agreement state while Domaina handles custody and service communication separately.
For buyers
Your Buyer account shows custody, paid-through date, next amount and due date, arrears, payment action, and termination request.
For sellers
Enable rental on eligible priced domains. Domaina calculates the current monthly amount, keeps custody, tracks collection, and records termination.

No. Rental payments cover use during the active agreement. They do not build equity, reduce a purchase balance, or transfer ownership.
Domaina applies the current platform rental tier to the Seller's asking price. The live domain page shows the resulting amount and currency before checkout, and the agreement snapshots them.
The first paid period begins only after Domaina independently verifies custody. A first payment does not by itself activate the rental.
The domain remains in a Domaina-controlled registrar account for the active agreement. It is not released to the renter.
The Buyer or Seller can request termination. Domaina records an effective end after the paid period, stops future billing, and verifies that renter control is removed.
The rental does not activate. The initial payment is flagged for full refund and reconciliation under the payment record.
